Located in the west central portion of the county, Stump Lake is easily the most interesting and entertaining attraction around. The lake itself provides opportunities for swimming, boating and fishing, but the park also has facilities for outdoor sports, a pavilion for dances and other entertainment, and a large picnic area. The crown jewel, however, is Stump Lake Village. Historic buildings have been moved here from other parts of the county as well as from neighboring Grand Forks and Ramsey Counties.
