Melrose Cemetery in Late Summer

 
  The church and cemetery lie on the north side of County Rte. 4 which is a well maintained asphalt road that goes on a straight line west to State Highway 1, which it meets about nine miles south of Lakota and east to Larimore in Grand Forks County. It is located in a very isolated setting with the nearest towns being Michigan (about 10 miles away), Petersburg (about 12 miles away) and McVille which is about 15 miles to the southwest. Many of the nearby farms which were present when the church was first organized are now gone, having been swallowed up by the much larger farms that still remain.
